Events prior Season 2 Edit
It is known that Frank spent his childhood in Chicago. His father used to lock Frank in the basement while he went on a bender. It usually lasted one night and he thought that his father was doing this to keep him safe. One time, when he was barely six, he was locked in the basement for five days because his father got arrested. On the third day, the bulb popped out and he was left in pitch-black darkness, then rats came out and started chewing his fingers. A severly frightened Frank grabbed a rat and started smashing it till nothing but a bloody mess was left out of it. After that he spent two more days in darkness till his father let him out of basement.
Since that incident, Frank always wonders what if he's still in that basement and what if he really died there and everything around him is only a dream.
Events in CaliforniaEdit
Frank Semyon is a futurist looking forward to entering genuine entrepreneurship or so it may seem. A calculated move by a career criminal desperate for legitimacy. But all sorts of illegality ensues in Frank's bid to go legit. Ben Caspere as Frank's business associate has been using Frank's money to buy massive property along the rail-line for future commercial development.
Along with his wife and business partner Jordan Semyon, Frank holds a buy-in party for shareholders for the proposed California Central Rail Corridor at the Vinci Nine Garden Casino inviting investors, contractors, developers, the Mayor and Osip Agronov, an overseas associate and Russian gangster. Frank, in particular, is anxious dealing with the Russian. Though Osip has complete confidence in Frank, he believes in thoroughness and looks forward to meeting Ben Caspere. However,Caspere has been missing for two days now and without his appearance, Frank's investment seems to be in fix with the Russian playing games. The events following Casperes death lead to Frank losing his money and due to his properties being double mortgaged he is left with no claim to anything he has. Left with no other option he returns to the club scene with plans for illegitimate business ventures such as running girls through his clubs and seeking out dealers offering safe passage for drug runners in his clubs for a percentage of the profit.
Frank Seymon is shown as ambitious, doubtful at times and comes off as a profile with a fragmented childhood and a notorious past. He loves his wife, Jordan Semyon , who is very involved in his business as she often gives him advices. Frank speaks of 'old California families' with a grand joy revealing the plans for his legacy to last for years to come. He seems to have good boxing skills as he easily beats up Danny Santos. Frank has been a partner with Ben Caspere sometime now but it is unsure if he knew about the latter's bizarre extra curricular activities.
