Laura Osterman, also known as Erica, is the assistant to Ben Caspere.

She is a minor character in the second season of True Detective and portrayed by actress Courtney Halverson. She is revealed, in the season 2 finale, to be the daughter of jewellery store owners murdered for diamonds by corrupt police officers Burris and Dixon, in 1992. As well, she is believed to be the biological, but illegitimate daughter, of Caspere as well as a co-conspirator in his murder with her brother, Leonard Osterman.[1]
